Some of our most popular seed types include:
Westerwolds
Tetraploid Italian Annual Rye Grass. Short term (lasts 9-12 months) depending on time of sowing. High yielding. Very compatible with Black Oats or Red Clover for silage. Excellent winter growth rates.
Hybrid Rye Grass
Diploid Italian Ryegrass. Long rotation (2-5 years). Fine leafed often mixed with turnip or rape. Our most popular line especially with the sheep and beef sector.
Tetpen Rye Grass
Long term Tetraploid (3-5 years). More suited to irrigated country. Commonly used on dairy farms.
We grow all of the above Ryegrasses and most Kale and Fodder Beet seed. Other varieties are brought in as required. Brassica and grass seed can be treated with various seed treatments to protect against insect damage.
Seed mixing is included in the quoted price and if necessary freight is arranged and the price added on at cost.
