At Duff Farming we offer you a full range of quality forage and pasture seed.
Our lines of seed are purity and germination tested by independently owned NZ Seed Lab Ltd, Hornby Christchurch. Copies of test certificates are available on request.

Westerwolds
Tetraploid Annual Rye Grass short term, 9-12 month depending on time of sowing. Very compatible with Black Oats or Red Clover for silaging, good winter growth rates at low altitudes.
Hybrid Rye Grass
Diploid: Medium term fine leafed often mixed with turnip or rape, our most popular line especially with the sheep and beef sector.
Tetpen Rye Grass
Long term Tetraploid, more suited to irrigated country, used by dairy industry.
Westerwolds annual
LE Perennial Low Endophyte
Densely tillered zero flowering date, fine leafed for permanent mixes.
Waitaki Tall Fescue
Modern palatable variety from the USA.
Haifa White Clover
Large leafed Australian cultivar probably better suited to irrigation or higher rain fall.

Black Oats: Machine dressed in 40kg,or 500kg bulk bags suitable winter feed, or silage.
Triticale
Semi Giant Kale: New Zealand bred suitable for wintering dairy cows and R2 beef cattle.
We grow all of the above Ryegrasses and some Kale seed. Other varieties are brought in as required. Brassica and grass seed can be treated with Nufarm Nuprid seed treatment (Imidacloprid 600) to protect against insect damage. Seed mixing is included in the quoted price and if necessary freight is arranged and the price added on at cost.
Fodder Beet: We supply an insitu grazing type of low to medium dry matter. We have it available either coated or bare.
